a) IDEA & CONCEPT - research and motivation
My second photoshoot will be made for the photos to be showcased on the double spread. They must represent the word 'seesaw', metaphorically related to the feelings of an artist - to be unsure, insecure, and coincidentally unable to give up what you're doing.
b) MODELS
- myself: to be honest, I did not really anticipate that I would be taking photos of myself for my magazine. I had wanted to take photos of my friends, but our schedules did not match and suddenly I was left with too little time and no friends who were available to help me. However, I think that taking photos of myself will turn out to be a fun experience - I am a bit of a perfectionist, and I like tweaking things until they look perfect to me. This is why I think that it will be a good experience - I will be in full control of how the photos are taken, as well as how the model (me :) ) looks.
c) PROPS & COSTUME
For this photoshoot I bought lollipops from a candy shop in the mall
d) PHOTOSHOOT PLANNING
I have attached a picture of the sketches I did in order to prepare for the photoshoot planned (it also includes sketches for the third photoshoot). They are setups of candy in a water bottle, candy on a white background, as well as myself eating a lollipop, and hiding my face behind one. I think the photos that I will be taking will fit the genre of the magazine very well, as not only do they showcase teen culture in the modern world, but also the aesthetic associated with today's youth. This photoshoot is more straightforward (bonbon = candy) and, while it matches the title perfectly, I am excited to take pictures of the sweets and see how to add a deeper meaning to the candy through my photography and editing.
